For The Sunday Muse prompt #123:
**
Even in the darkness
the beauty of lent light
shines through, the golden
petals of the sunflowers
magnificent as they follow
the sun. Beauty, hitherto
hidden, is called out
by the sharing of the light,
the sum of its parts
many times more brilliant
than when it hides alone.
The message delivered in your lovely poem resonates. I enjoyed reading it.

Good introspect, “petals of the sunflowers magnificent as they follow the sun.” And that is what they are supposed to do, soon they will be turning their heads, do you think it will be in unison?

Valid point in your other comment too though… Which makes me think that perhaps some of the petals might refuse to conform..if they they had free will and agency.. 🙂

The phrase “lent light” just took my breath. That line just opens up the poem for me. Really enjoyed this.
